What this site is

Brain Games is a free collection of simple browser games, originally built for seniors and people with dementia to enjoy some light mental exercise. It doesn't require an account, and you can play without giving us any personal information.

Information we store

To make features like leaderboards and the coloring gallery work, this site stores a small amount of data:

• Player name: a name you choose (or "Guest") is saved on your device so your play time and leaderboard scores can be tracked. It isn't linked to your real identity.
• Game scores and play time: stored to show leaderboards and your own progress over time.
• Coloring Pad drawings: if you choose to publish a drawing to the shared gallery, that image and the name you entered become visible to everyone who visits the gallery.

This data is stored using a database service (Supabase) and, for some features, in your browser's local storage on your own device.

Cookies and advertising

This site may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses this information, and opt out of personalized advertising, at google.com/settings/ads.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
